GALLERY PERFORMANCE - Response to art exhibition Parasite's Paradise III

Taken aback by the junk artworks of international artist Brenton Rossow, Marnie performed a physical response to the international group exhibition, Paradise's Parasite. A collaboration between Edith Cowan and Shanghai Universities, the exhibition addresses the magnitude of human's waste and destruction of planet Earth. Performed with the assistance of WAAPA, Western Australian Academy Performing Arts in July 2018 at Spectrum Project Space, Mt Lawley ECU Campus . IMMERSIVE EVENT EXPERIENCES translated form site based dance research and practice

During the period of shifting roles, when Tori was 3 months young Marnie and husband Alex launched their events company translating their knowledge of site based dance and creative processes into the creative events space. Their biggest client (to date as of end 2019) has been City of Canning, for which they have serviced 18 events with different themed spaces and children's environments. The point of difference of the company is to allow people to experience themselves, others, and their environment deeply, by connecting within special spaces. The services fall under the place activation and community building remit. Marnie continues to shift through the spaces of dance, installation art and events seamlessly through the principles of immersion, progression and interaction.

HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPS - Site-Based Creative Practice for SVAPA art specialist unit, Mt Lawley High

HIGH SCHOOL WORKSHOPS - I have the privelege of facilitating site-based art practice every year at the annual school camp for the SVAPA students (Specialist Visual And Performing Arts) from Mt Lawley Senior High. The Years 8 & 9 students can work visually or physically. But the process they are exposed to engages embodiment principles, activating all senses to make decisions creatively through the experience of their body in place.
